J-STAR, or Jewish Students Taking an Active Role, joins kids and teens in 8th, 9th and 10th grades. Get together with your friends and classmates for group community service projects in and around Miami.
While Aspire summer community service programs are focused on the service component, most Aspire gap programs also offer students the option to get involved with the local community through organizedgroup community service projects. Gap year and semester students have expanded volunteer opportunities available and should contact the Aspire office to explore opportunities available in different locations.
Group Community Service Projects
Two group community service projects are conducted every year and members are required to perform individual service hours (7th grade–20 hours, 8th grade–25 hours).
